Born Brianne M. Robinson, Miss
Bree was raised in San Diego, California, and surrounded by
music throughout her childhood since both her parents were
vocalists in rock & roll bands during the mid ‘70s and throughout
the ‘80s. Although initially she wanted to pursue a career in
rap, Miss Bree realized she had inherited a talent for singing.
Writing lyrics
since the age of 11, Miss Bree continues to write all her own
songs. Her first exposure to performing in front of an audience
was in 1999 at her high school graduation. Since then she has
performed in June 2000 at the Oceanside Juneteenth celebration
televised by Public Access, in January 2001 as the opening act for
Lifestyle (Snoop Dogg’s little brother’s group), appeared at the
open mic hip-hop night at San Diego’s Gaslamp club, Henry’s Pub in
Spring 2002, and at the “Face 2 Face” showcase, in March 2003.
She has also provided backup vocals in Los Angeles and San Diego
recording studios.
Miss Bree’s
major musical influences are Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Nas,
Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys, to name a few.
Miss Bree
joined MoonCook Productions in April 2003 and is in the process of
recording her first CD, “Unpredictable,” which will be available
in stores soon. |
