Merline was born on August 10, 1988 in Florida and relocated to San Diego, California in 1999 with her family.  She has been dancing and singing in church since the age of 4 and writing her own song lyrics since the age of 8.  She has been involved in various talent shows and school performances as well as a clothing model during this same time period.

At age 14, you will usually find Merline wearing clothing in her favorite colors, blue and red.
